The story of Howden in France begins at the crossroads of two ambitions: that of Nicolas Aubert, who wishes to create a brokerage firm in France, and that of the Howden Group, which seeks to establish itself in the French market. Their two visions perfectly align, and Howden SAS is founded in February 2022.

In order to work on the two strategic pillars of the Group, organic growth and acquisitions, Nicolas Aubert surrounds himself with a tight-knit team that begins recruiting new talents while convincing excellent family-owned firms to join the adventure. In the span of six months, CRF, Théorème, Guian/SeaSecure join the Howden ecosystem and mark the beginning of a new culture, a synergy of beliefs and talents.

In 2023, these acquisitions are unified under a new visual identity, a global flagship of Howden, symbolizing the successful integration of these companies within the group.

Howden continues its growth in 2024 by making three new significant acquisitions to its portfolio: GTCA-CFC Assurances, OFRACAR - Assurfroid and AGEO. These acquisitions further strengthen its local presence and expertise development, demonstrating its continuous commitment to expanding its footprint and providing innovative insurance solutions to its clients. At the same time, Howden invests in recruiting specialized talents, bringing the French team to 650 employees - a determined community committed to keep growing strong.
