From July 1st, the welfare coverage for employees in the Wholesale Trade sector will be changing. The social partners of the national collective agreement have decided to improve certain benefits for better protection of employees.

The main developments

The main changes to non-managerial cover include the introduction of an education annuity in the compulsory basic cover, the upgrading of disability cover and the introduction of a "funeral expenses" allowance in the event of the death of the employee or the employee's dependent children.

Employers will have to pay a minimum employer's contribution of 0.372% of gross salary in Tranche 1 and Tranche 2, limited to 4 PASS. The employer's share of the contribution must be 60% of the contribution to finance the provident cover.
