Individual members of the Angling Trust are protected by Public Liability and Personal Accident insurance as a benefit of their membership. Coverage applies while taking part in recognised angling activities, in line with your membership type.

The recognised activities covered under this insurance:

  • Angling (includes all disciplines in freshwater or at sea, from land or watercraft)
  • Casting, including competitions
  • Bankside access and clearance for angling reasons, for example, cutting back branches or vegetation (strictly with permission of the site’s management)
  • Use of boats/watercraft under 8m in length (but not boat charter)

Worldwide insurance cover

The insurance covers any angling activities done in the UK and on temporary visits abroad. In the USA and Canada, only temporary visits less than 90 days would be covered.
