Protection for your basketball activities

Basketball England clubs and affiliated organisations are given insurance cover as part of their membership. 

All sports organisations have a duty of care and responsibility to ensure anything they do does not cause injury or financial loss to others or damage to their property.

Basketball England has arranged protection for your club as follows:

  • Public liability - £10 million limit of indemnity
  • Products & pollution - £10 million limit of indemnity
  • Employers liability - £10 million limit of indemnity (with effect from 1 April 2024)
  • Professional indemnity - £5 million limit of indemnity
  • Directors & officers liability - £2 million limit of indemnity
  • Legal defence costs - £250,000 limit of indemnity
