Volunteering activities

At Howden Broking, part of Howden Group Holdings, all employees are entitled to two volunteer days per annum. Employees can volunteer at a Hyperion Foundation approved initiative or put forward a request for a charity they have a personal connection with.

In London we are members of the Lloyds Community Programme which enables our volunteers to participate in a reading, financial literacy and mentoring programme. These programmes help pupils to improve their confidence, speaking and listening skills, whilst providing role models and inspiration for future career development.

Through our partnership with Benefacto and local charity partners, we also offer employees the opportunity to take part in one off volunteer days enabling them to engage and give back to the community in which we work. Most recently our employees have been volunteering at local foodbanks, preparing hot meals for people in need and taking part in beach clean ups.
