Protection for your group and its members

RDA groups have a duty of care to everyone working for them, visitors and those taking part in their activities.

Your group must do all you can to reduce or eliminate loss, damage or injury to others if an incident occurs. If you fail to do so, you may be held legally liable if something goes wrong.

In collaboration with Howden, the RDA have arranged cover for approved activities to protect your group.

What’s included in my cover?

Public & Product Liability

This will give your group and committee protection against the cost of a claim when someone is injured or property is damaged up to the limit of £20 million. Cover is provided by Hiscox Underwriting and WR Berkley Insurance.

Employers Liability

In the event the group is held liable for an injury to an employee or volunteer, this cover will protect you to the Limit of indemnity of £10million. Employers Liability is a legal requirement for any organisation that employs staff or volunteers.

Cover is provided by Hiscox Underwriting.

Trustee Indemnity

All trustees have a personal liability for any claim that is made against a group for breach of duty in instances such as mismanagement of group funds, breach of fire safety regulations or corporate manslaughter.

Trustees Indemnity cover is provided by Hiscox Underwriting and specifically protects trustees in the event of a claim up to a maximum of £5 million.

If you feel that your Group should arrange higher limits of indemnity to those stated above, get in touch with us below to discuss your requirements in more detail.
